1.  It is expressly understood that all participants enter at their own risk and to the fullest extent permitted by law hereby release, discharge and hold harmless Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, it’s parents, and affiliates, their officers, directors, owners, volunteers, and employees. By registering in the tournament, each team member consents to the use, without payment or restriction, any photograph, video, tape recording or sound in which he or she appears for any purpose whatsoever. By signing this entry form and paying the entry fee, my team and I acknowledge that we have read the release and are bound by the same.

2.  Eligible Fish

Inshore: flounder, sea trout, sheepshead & spanish mackerel
Bottom Fish: red snapper, amber jack, black sea bass, grouper, triggerfish & vermilion snapper

All local DNR rules and regulations must be followed

3.  Fishing begins each day at sunrise. Weigh-in is at the Charleston Harbor Marina dock at the following times:

Friday, July 14, 2023: 3:00pm to 5:00pm

Saturday, July 15, 2023: 3:00pm to 5:00pm

Sunday, July 16, 2023: 2:00pm to 4:00pm

 

Each angler is responsible for removing their fish from the premises.

4.  Anglers may not fish for this tournament after weigh-in ends.

5.  No more than 6 lines per boat. All fish must be caught on rods and reels.

6.  Once fishing lines have been deployed, you cannot pass any items to another boat, except in emergency situations.

7.  Only one prize will be award per species, per angler. For example, if you have weigh in the two largest trigger fish, largest amber jack, and the 2nd and 3rd largest grouper, you will win 1st place for trigger fish, 1st place for amberjack, and 2nd place for grouper.

8.  In the event of ties for awards, the earliest weigh-in will determine the winner.

9.Anglers are invited to weigh fish all 3 days. Awards will be given on Sunday, July 16, 2023 following weigh-in. Anglers do not need to be present at the awards ceremony to win.

10.  All fish may be subject to Torry Meter test and/or to be cut open for inspection. If any lead/foreign material is found, all entries from said angler will be disqualified.

11.  All decisions made by the rules committee and/or grievance committee are final. Any protest must be submitted in writing with applicable protest fee ($100.00) to the committee chairman, Tom Ledford, within 30 minutes after the last boat is weighed in each day.

12. This is a 3 day fishing tournament. If the national weather service has issued any small craft advisory on VHF Channel 1 by their 5 AM update on Friday, July 14, 2023 the tournament will be a 2 day tournament and begin on July 15.  If on Saturday, July 15 at 5 AM, if any small craft advisory is in effect, the tournament will be a 1 day tournament and take place on Sunday, July 16. If any small craft advisory is in effect on Sunday, July 16, the fishing committee will make a determination for a future date. It is the sole discretion of the captain to allow his/her vessel to fish. All captains and/or owners are responsible for their vessel and crew.

13. In the event that the tournament is canceled, all entry fees less $25 per angler, will be returned by check, via mail, within 30 days.

14. The optional Captain’s Meeting on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina. The dinner begins at 5:00pm and the informational section of the meeting begins at approximately 6:30pm. It is each anglers responsibility to become aware of clarifications or rule changes. Rules are included on the tournament website:  ccc.profishingtournaments.com. Anglers do not receive ID numbers.

15.  There is no restriction on port of exit or return. Fishing is to be within South Carolina state lines straight out from Little River (North) and Savannah River (South). Inshore species are to be caught in open navigational waters and estuaries. Inshore fish are not permitted to be caught from impoundments, salt ponds with dams or dykes, neighborhood lakes or areas with man-made restrictions to flow and boat traffic.

16. All fish must be weighed in at the official weigh station as designated by the Lowcountry Bottom Fishing Rodeo committee. Offshore and bottom species must be brought in by boat.

17. Tying up to the dock at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina for any reason other than dropping an angler off to weigh a fish is prohibited, so as to make room for all anglers to be dropped off. If you would like to take advantage of a contact-free option, call committee chair Tom Ledford (843-693-2118) for a volunteer to transport fish to weigh station.

18. Mutilated fish will not be accepted for weigh in and all fish shall be caught in open navigable waters.

19. All fishing regulations set by the Department of Natural Resources must be followed for any entry to be valid in this tournament. Adherence to these regulations and state and federal laws are each angler’s responsibility.

20.  All fish entered into the tournament must be caught on the day of the tournament weigh-in and within the allotted hours of the tournament.

21.  Anglers must register for the tournament online at: ccc.profishingtournaments.com by 8:00pm on Thursday, July 13, 2023. It is the angler’s responsibility to verify registration via receiving an email by Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 8:00pm.

22.  No late registration.

23.  Tournament committee reserves the right to change rules based on weather, or any other circumstance or reason it sees fit, at any time.

24.  Tournament VHF channel will be #72. All boats must have a VHF with channel #72 and #16.

25.  Please check the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy Facebook event page for any changes or updates.

26.  No late weigh ins. If you are not at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina weigh-in station at the end of weigh-in time, you will not be allowed to weigh your fish.
